This year’s Halloween Potluck at the Commerce Family Center was truly a spooktacular success! The team came together for an afternoon filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit. From spooky décor to imaginative costumes, the room was transformed into a festive space where everyone could relax, connect, and have a hauntingly good time.
The potluck table was overflowing with homemade dishes that showcased the culinary talents of our staff—sweet treats, savory bites, and everything in between! Whether it was a themed dessert or a classic comfort dish, every plate was shared with love and plenty of smiles. The energy in the room was infectious, reminding us that sometimes the best way to celebrate our work family is through good food and even better company.
A huge thank-you goes out to everyone who helped organize this fun tradition and to all who participated and made it special. Events like these remind us what makes Penny Lane so unique—our ability to find joy together, celebrate one another, and keep our sense of community alive (even among the ghosts and goblins!). What was expected to be a typical, information-filled staff meeting at the Commerce office quickly turned into something far more colorful—and competitive! As team members entered the room, they were greeted by tables covered in paints, brushes, and pumpkins just waiting to be transformed. The surprise twist set the tone for an afternoon filled with laughter, creativity, and just the right amount of friendly rivalry.
Each team brought their A-game, crafting pumpkins that showcased imagination, humor, and teamwork in full display. But in the end, victory went not to the most colorful or ornate design, but to the pumpkin that reigned supreme through sheer grit, determination, and a flair for carving mastery. When the paint dried and the judging was done, the room was buzzing with joy, pride, and the echoes of a team united in fun.
Whispers of triumph and laughter lingered long after the contest ended—a sure sign that the Commerce team’s creativity knows no bounds. Until next year’s showdown, the reigning pumpkin champion can rest easy… but only for now!
