Penny Lane’s Foster Family Agency provides professional training and support for adults wanting to care for children and youth in foster care. The Foster Family program at Penny Lane Centers works to find safe loving families for children and youth, while offering both the child and the resource parent a wide array of social, therapeutic and supportive services.
Children and youth in foster care range from birth to 21 years of age and are referred to Penny Lane by the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). When it has been determined that a child or youth cannot be with his/her birth family, Penny Lane collaborates with DCFS to establish a long-term plan.
Family isn’t defined by a last name; it’s defined by commitment and love. At our Foster Family Agency (FFA), we believe in creating loving families by providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children in need.
Our dedicated team is passionate about matching caring foster parents with children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. We understand the importance of stability, compassion, and guidance in the lives of these children.
Through our FFA program, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of both children and foster families, building strong and lasting relationships that create a sense of belonging and security..
If you would like more information about becoming a resource parent, we invite you to attend one of our monthly orientations where many of your questions will be answered. Please feel free to contact us at the appropriate location via email or phone. We have offices in the City of Commerce, North Hollywood and in the Antelope Valley in Lancaster.
Penny Lane resource parents are loving, dedicated, responsible individuals and families who open their hearts and their homes to children, teens and non-minor dependents. Penny Lane celebrates diversity and welcomes all adults regardless of race, age, marital status, ethnic background, gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation. Resource parents are reimbursed a monthly tax free stipend for children they care for in their homes to help to defray some of the financial burden of those costs.
