The Penny Lane Community & Family Resource Center (CFRC) is a community-based program that offers communities in Los Angeles County resources, supportive services, and opportunities for connection. The CFRC promotes stability and wellness by offering case management, parenting education, mental health support, and community engagement activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of local residents. The center is committed to being a welcoming, trauma informed space where individuals can find guidance, resources, and encouragement as they navigate life’s challenges.

In partnership with TAY and CFRC, this group provides a safe, informative, and supportive space to learn about personal hygiene, sexual health, and the importance of making healthy and informed choices. Participants will discuss proper hygiene practices, the importance of maintaining personal health, safe sex, contraception, STI prevention, and healthy relationships. The group also provides free hygiene products and contraceptives to help participants access the resources they need to support their health and well-being.
CFRC will provide individualized, step-by-step support to help participants navigate the application and renewal process for programs such as CalFresh, Medi-Cal, and other DPSS benefits. Staff will assist participants with understanding eligibility requirements, gathering necessary documentation, completing applications, submitting renewals or recertifications, and addressing barriers that may prevent successful completion.
CFRC invites adults and children ages 7+ to a fun workshop about Halloween safety, including safe trick-or-treating, costumes, and staying aware of your surroundings. Adult and children’s workshops will be held separately and will focus on learning and practicing safety. This workshop supports Social Connectedness by bringing families together to learn and stay safe. Please RSVP with your Case Manager. Every adult and child who attends will receive their own goodie bag!
CFRC invita a adultos y niños de 7 años en adelante a un taller divertido sobre seguridad durante Halloween, incluyendo cómo pedir dulces de manera segura, disfraces y cómo estar atentos a nuestro entorno. Los talleres para adultos y niños se llevarán a cabo por separado y se enfocarán en aprender y practicar medidas de seguridad. Penny Lane Centers is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that cares for over 3500 abused and neglected children, youth and families a month. We provide therapeutic residential services, foster family home placements, adoption services, transitional and affordable housing, family preservation, Intensive Services and mental health services for children youth and families throughout Los Angeles County.
