
Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment (CAPIT) Program Services are aimed at preventing and treating child abuse and neglect. The CAPIT program will provide a range of child abuse and neglect prevention, intervention, and treatment services to at risk families.
Services Include:
-Intake and Assessment
-Individual, Family, and Group Counseling
-Case Management (including linkage or referral for aftercare services
-Parenting Education Services
This array of services is designed to strengthen family resilience and nurture the development of healthy behaviors, while assisting families in the development of their own Protective Factors. We are excited to offer these services to the communities located in service planning area (SPA) 1.
Penny Lane Center’s Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment (CAPIT) Program supports communities by:
• Helping prevent child abuse and neglect before it happens
• Reducing stress and risk factors in the home
• Providing counseling and support for children and parents
• Helping families heal from trauma
• Keeping children safe at home and preventing repeat involvement with child welfare services
