PL Holiday Party 2022

The “Penny Laners” and PLC Board members came together at Oakmont Country Club on Thursday December 22nd to celebrate the holidays, our successes and enjoy each other.  There was food, drink, music, entertainment and most importantly camaraderie.  Our board member Kathy Cunningham acted as Mistress of Ceremonies leading the group in games and singing and let’s not forget those raffles.   The raffle was so in demand this year that we actually ran out of tickets but this allowed us to give away lots of cash and many really great prizes. We played games, sang and danced the night away with Amplified Entertainment.  The dance floor was packed, as we know the Penny Lane staff loves to boogie!

After years of no in person holiday party due to the pandemic staff and board members were excited to get together. The joy on the faces, many embraces, joking and laughing were all so great to see as it was clearly a celebration.  This is what Penny Lane is about;  family, friendships and heart!  The goal of the event was to reenergize, reward and recognize the commitment of the staff.  Our board president Adrienne Khorasanee read a letter of gratitude and appreciate to all the staff from herself and the Board of Directors.  Wendy Carpenter, our CEO, expressed joy at being able to have the event as well as thanking the staff for their ongoing commitment and constantly rising to meet the challenges of our work. The event was a great part of everyone’s holiday season.

As we look forward to the New Year, we will continue to work as a unit for the greater good of all of our children and families to help them achieve their hopes and dreams.  Happy New Year!
