That is how they became involved with Penny Lane Centers. Back in 2017, before becoming a board member, Anthony Lee volunteered at Penny Lane with his fraternity: Kappa Alpha Psi, working directly with the young men in our group homes at the time. This inspired him to want to do more with Penny Lane so he became a board member and eventually Board Vice President a few years back. Anthony has always been innovative in searching for ways for Wedbush to become more connected with the work Penny Lane Centers does.
Anthony along with his fraternity, became involved in Penny Lane’s Annual Backpack give away as part of the back to school drive for all our families- giving hundreds of backpacks, school supplies, and even clothing to children, youth, and families in need. This event, along with dozens of other events that Wedbush has collaborated with Penny Lane Centers continue to make a difference in the lives of those most needed. Anthony Lee, who is employed by Wedbush, said: “We were excited about developing a partnership to support Penny Lane Centers. We were thrilled to make a donation to support Penny Lane's Thanksgiving Drive-Thru last November serving over 325 families and equally looking forward to being one of the sponsors for the Penny Lane Summer Festival in June.”
This year, Wedbush and a few other firms will be joining forces to put on a picnic for all the children, youth, and families Penny Lane Centers serves. They not only will be funding the picnic but their team of volunteers will be painting faces, running the games, serving food and everything else it will take to put on this amazing picnic! We are so fortunate to have the partnership with Wedbush.
