Thanksgiving is a time of joyful celebration. Penny Lane Centers is making plans once again to feed and provide our clients with a Thanksgiving meal box for them to prepare at home with their families. Thanksgiving centers on that amazing meal, your family traditions, and the spirit of gratitude. For some of our housing clients this will be their first Thanksgiving with a home to call her own. Our clients have many struggles from job and food insecurity to struggles with mental health. The families of our housing and community-based programs are thankful for the support they get from Penny Lane, especially during this time of crisis. We hope to bring the community together to help the less fortunate.
As we did last year, we are hoping to distribute bags with a turkey and all the fixings to our deserving clients so they can go home and make their meal and enjoy their family traditions. We have more people seeking assistance with food and resources.
We are dependent on the generosity of donors to allow us to continue to provide much-needed services to families. You can be a part of this by donating either the food items themselves or by making a monetary donation which enables us to purchase these items. For $25 we can get a turkey while $50 allows us to get turkey, stuffing and dessert for a family of four. Optimally we would love a donation of $100 which would allow us to provide a full meal for that family of 4. Wanna Volunteer at our Thanksgiving Drive-Thru? We will be distributing care packages for our wonderful families that will include Turkey, all the yummy sides, dessert and lots of smiles from our team of volunteers waiting to greet our families. Thanksgiving is about giving back to our deserving families so you can go home and make that home cooked meal with your loved ones.
