This week our Relative Services and CFRC teams had the privilege of participating in the Nonprofit Fair at the Logix Headquarters in Valencia. The Logix campus was truly a sight to see, offering a beautiful outdoor setting that created the perfect backdrop for community connection.
Our staff Christy Anaya, Anna Macedo, and Maribel Klee were on hand to share information about our Relative Support Services as well as our new CFRC program. We also raffled a Chicco stroller, which was gratefully received by the winner.
This event marked an exciting milestone as our first official CFRC District 3 tabling event, giving us the opportunity to engage with the community and strengthen connections.
We are especially grateful to the Logix team for their warm hospitality and ongoing partnership. Together, we are already collaborating on the upcoming toy drive in support of our PL Christmas event for clients and their families.
We look forward to many more opportunities to engage, serve, and celebrate with our community.

Wonderful news about Loki, a familiar face to those who have been following our newsletters here at Penny Lane.
As many of you remember, Loki was once a resident pet at Sun Commons, and over the summer, we learned that he was in very poor condition—extremely emaciated and in need of help.
Thanks to the incredible teamwork and quick action from our partners at Parchat, Loki was placed into the care of a rescue organization that could provide him with the medical attention, nutrition, and love he desperately needed. Since joining the rescue, Loki has made amazing progress. He’s regained a healthy weight and has been attending doggy socialization classes, where he’s learned impulse control, leash manners, and how to play and interact with other dogs.
Loki even made it to the news, where both he and the rescue were featured sharing his inspiring story of recovery and resilience with the community!
In late July, Loki went to stay with a caring family in Long Beach who expressed interest in adopting him. Over the past several weeks, they’ve been fostering Loki to ensure it was a good match — and last week, the rescue officially confirmed that Loki has been adopted!
He’s now thriving in his new home, getting along beautifully with the family’s other dog, and has completely captured their hearts. It’s safe to say the family has truly fallen in love with Loki and he’s finally found his forever home. This story is a wonderful reminder of what compassion and collaboration can accomplish. Thank you to everyone on the Housing Team, and a special thanks to Parchat, for helping give Loki a second chance at life.
Let’s all celebrate Loki’s happy ending — and the teamwork that made it possible!

We are excited to share an incredible opportunity for our clients to pursue their dreams in aviation! California Aeronautical University (CAU) is committed to making aviation careers more accessible and is offering $10,000 in tuition reduction to 100 eligible students applying to its aeronautical degree program.
On Saturday, members of our team met with CAU representatives who are eager to support our clients in this journey. Featured in the photo are Alycia Najera (left), Dave Cespedes (center), and Damian Santillanon (right), who will serve as helpful guides into these programs.
To learn more, join us at Aviation Career Day at Camarillo Airport, where the CAU team will be present to answer questions and share resources. This is an amazing chance for our clients to take flight—literally and figuratively—toward a brighter future in aviation!

On a sunny weekend in Los Angeles, Penny Lane Centers was proud to be represented at the annual Fireman’s Car Show, a community tradition that brings together classic cars, local heroes, and families for a day of fun and giving. The event, hosted by dedicated members of the fire department, is more than just a showcase of beautifully restored vehicles—it’s also an opportunity to connect with the community and give back in meaningful ways.
Erik attended on behalf of Penny Lane and shared some exciting news: thanks to the generosity of event organizers and donors, we will be receiving 300 gifts for our clients this Christmas. This incredible contribution means that hundreds of children and families will experience extra joy during the holiday season. It’s a powerful reminder of how community partnerships fuel the mission of Penny Lane and help us bring light and hope to those we serve.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing Firefighter Bradley representing Fire Station 60, who proudly hosted his own booth at the show. His presence underscored the close ties between first responders and the communities they serve. From hot rods to fire engines, the event was buzzing with energy, nostalgia, and heart.
The Fireman’s Car Show isn’t just about cars—it’s about connection, generosity, and the power of coming together for a cause. We are deeply grateful to the firefighters and community members who made this day so special and who are helping make the holidays brighter for Penny Lane families. With partners like these, we know the road ahead is full of hope.
