Abbey Road Projects- August Update

August 2, 2022

Imagine Village II

Bernards Builders are working hard on Imagine Village II.  We are fairly far along on the framing of the first floor.  Our drone photos really let us experience what is happening on a site that is over 2 acres.  Bernards has made good progress over the last month and we are 17% complete.

Imagine Village II- August Construction Progress

Sun Commons Housing Project

Sun Commons

The work at Sun Commons is largely focused in three areas now – site work which is putting in our planters and getting the interior courtyard built; the work on the Penny Lane NoHo office site which includes reconnecting the stormwater management system to the to be added subterranean filtration tanks abutting the alley; and the offsite work which is adding all new curb and gutter all along the property.  We are continuing the work in the units and will be adding cabinets and then final finishes. Check out some of the photos below!

We are opening up our wait list shortly for Homeless and Chronically homeless Families, Transition Age Youth and individuals as well as a general affordable population. Watch for our flyer!

The Rigby and The Main

These two developments are applying to various City, County and State funding agencies to secure the required financing to begin construction.  The Rigby has secured HHH funding through the City of LA, Affordable Housing Trust Fund funding from the Los Angeles County Development Authority and we are currently working on the new combined Multifamily Housing Program and Infill Infrastructure Grant applications for State financing through the Department of Housing & Community Development.  The Main is still behind the Rigby in financing applications because we need to construct the interior parcel development first.

Abbey Road is continuing to look for our next two to three projects as well.  We have found several sites that we like and are exploring in Pasadena.  We are continuing to look for sites in the San Fernando Valley as well as in Whittier, Downey, Montebello and other areas around Commerce.
