We are really moving along on The Rigby in North Hills. What you see in the picture attached is the site just prior to shotcrete being applied to the walls of the parking garage. It is an interesting process with the concrete being shot out of a hose and hitting and sticking to the rebar forming the walls of the subterranean parking garage. Walton Construction is really moving along on this job. We are still anticipating completion of this “64 unit” building in the fall of next year.
Abbey Road continues to work on assembling the financing needed to start construction on The Main project, which will be next door to The Rigby. We have 2 pending applications, one with the County and one with the State that we hope will be awarded. Fingers crossed!! Depending upon what happens we plan to begin construction sometime in 2026.
Abbey Road will be working on quite a few application funding rounds in the next few months for our Pasadena TAY project; The Starr, and hopefully for the large family/TAY development we are working on in Downey.
We are also looking for other new sites to service our Commerce Office. We have had some great meetings with surrounding cities who are interested in having Abbey Road build a development in their City with Penny Lane providing Housing Services.
Our existing buildings are doing well, and our residents are moving toward stabilization with the help of Penny Lane Housing Services and therapists. We continue to be grateful for the amazing collaboration and for the benefits reaped by our residents.
