Penny Lane Centers due to a generous donation from Soles4Souls will be providing shoes and socks for our youth/families this coming spring. When people lack the resources to get through today, it’s difficult for them to focus on tomorrow. Soles4Souls turns shoes and clothing into opportunities for education and employment so they can have a more hopeful future. We appreciate Soles4Souls philosophy and know their donation will be very impactful.
In 2022 as part of a “day of service” at Penny Lane we gave shoes, socks and resources to our youth and families thanks to the partnership with Soles4Souls. The impact of their donation was vivid as we saw the kids’ faces showing gratitude. This kind donation provided a boost to each recipient’s self-esteem and confidence. This donation, in addition to the positive impact it had on our youth and families, but impacted the organization as a whole as it allowed us to provide items that our contracts don’t always cover.
Soles4Souls has different philanthropic programs such as selling and distributing shoes and clothing through their international partners, new shoes and clothing to people in crisis situations, freeing up financial resources they can use toward other needs and partnering with schools and non-profits across the U.S. to get new athletic shoes to children who are experiencing homelessness, eliminating barriers to educational and extracurricular opportunities.
