“In your actions, don’t procrastinate. In your conversations, don’t confuse. In your thoughts, don’t wander. In your soul, don’t be passive or aggressive. In your life don’t be all about business.” -Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
Humble, driven, and true to his values. These are some of the adjectives that best describe Rocky DeAngelis, the newest member of the Board of Directors at Penny Lane. In the past Rocky has attended a number of fundraising events such as the Garden Party and volunteered with some of the holiday food drives. Introduced to Penny Lane by his close friend and our CFO; Bernie LaFianza he came to truly appreciate the work Penny Lane does and the dedication of the many he met who work with the organization. Rocky DeAngelis decided to join Penny Lane Centers Board of Directors after he spoke in length with Wendy Carpenter our CEO. She spoke about the values, mission, and focus of the organization. It inspired him to know that the leadership of Penny Lane is committed and driven to helping youth and families and that the leadership is staying true to the core values of the organization. Rocky is an openly gay man so he will bring some LGBTQ+ representation to our Board as Penny Lane continues to work to diversify the organization at all levels.
