This group aims to help clients have a better understanding on how to understand their own emotions and how to build and maintain relationships. This group will work with clients on understanding thoughts and feelings and being able to generally relate to others. We hope to enhance their ability in communicating with peers, learning how to exhibit empathy, how to work with others, and building acceptable social behaviors within their environment. Overall, this group aims to enhance a client’s ability to foster authentic connection, self-advocacy skills, and confidence, rather than learning or mimicking neurotypical behaviors.
